China and Philippines to cooperate on projects worth US$3.7 billion


China has agreed to cooperate with the Philippines on a wide range of projects which will focus on poverty reduction, following a meeting between officials in Beijing. A 3.7 billion US dollar deal was the first announcement from a two-day visit by a Philippine cabinet delegation to China. The country’s finance secretary, Carlos Dominguez, said his meeting with China’s Commerce Minister Gao Hucheng was “very productive.”
