On Wednesday Jonathan Todd Schwartz, the manager of singer, Alanis Morissette, admitted to swindling Morissette of about $5 million and claiming the money was used to grow marijuana. In court papers filed in Los Angeles federal court, Schwartz agreed to plead guilty to embezzling the money. Deirdre Fike, the assistant director in charge of the FBI office in Los Angeles, said in a statement “Mr Schwartz was hired to protect his clients’ money by managing it professionally, but instead misappropriated millions to enrich himself”.
